A diverse and inclusive workplace

Washington Post Media is in the business of serving its community through useful information, so it’s important that the people who work here enrich our perspectives with different backgrounds and capabilities. To further understand and communicate effectively with our diverse community, we are proud sponsors of the Black Family Reunion, La Feria de la Familia, the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program and the Latino Student Fund.

Community participation and outreach

To nurture our employee culture of community participation and outreach, we focus our energy on four main areas: Education, Community Service and Contributions, Arts and Literature and Eco-Responsibility.

  • Aluminum printing plates are recycled annually
  • 45 percent of our newsprint is recycled fiber (We are limited by the availability of recycled newsprint)
  • We host panel discussions on energy conservation
